Buy a Brick – Build a Legacy
🧱 Help Build the Future of Moss Lane Farm
Buy a Brick – Save Our Farm for Future Generations
Moss Lane Farm, one of the few remaining original farmsteads on Chat Moss, has stood for over 120 years.
Now, it’s under threat — from development pressure and the loss of viable farmland across Greater Manchester.
By buying a brick for £50, you’ll be helping Green Teach CIC secure and restore the historic Moss Lane Farm buildings, creating a thriving Community Farm and Learning Space for people, wildlife, and the planet.
💚 Why We Need Your Support
Farming on Chat Moss has always been about resilience and community. But small family farms like ours are disappearing — squeezed by land developers, industrial expansion, and rising costs.
We’re raising funds to:
Secure the long-term future of Moss Lane Farm for community ownership
Restore our heritage hay barn into a Community Classroom and Training Centre
Expand our Market Garden and Agroecology Training Programme
Protect local food growing and biodiversity on the moss
Every brick you buy brings us one step closer to protecting this landscape and giving people hands-on access to nature, food, and learning.
🧱 How It Works
1. Buy a Brick – £50 donation
Your donation will go directly toward purchasing and restoring the farm buildings.
2. Dedicate Your Brick
You can name your brick after yourself, a loved one, or even your business — we’ll record every donor on our Heritage Wall of Support at the farm. 3. Join Our Journey You’ll be part of a growing community saving one of the last working farms on Chat Moss.
